According to the NCM, residents can expect variable cloud cover throughout the day, with clouds increasing over coastal and internal areas.
The cloud buildup is expected to be more pronounced by the afternoon, particularly along the northern and eastern parts of the country.
Light to Moderate Winds Expected
The UAE will experience light to moderate winds today, with speeds ranging between 10 and 20 km/h and occasionally reaching 30 km/h.
These winds may contribute to slight fluctuations in visibility over open areas but are not expected to cause major disruptions.
Chance of Rainfall in Specific Areas
The NCM noted a chance of scattered rainfall, especially over:
- Eastern regions
- Northern areas
- Offshore islands
Rainfall is expected to be light to moderate and most likely to occur during the early to mid-afternoon hours. Residents are advised to drive cautiously, as conditions may shift quickly in these zones.
Fog Alerts Issued from Early Morning
The weather authority issued red and yellow fog alerts from 4:40 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The alerts indicate the possibility of dense to moderate fog, reducing horizontal visibility, especially in:
- Internal roads
- Desert areas
- Northern stretches of the country
Motorists are advised to maintain safe distances, reduce speed, and follow variable message boards for traffic instructions.
Temperature & Sea Conditions
Temperatures today will remain within the mild December range, though slight drops may occur in mountainous and northern terrain due to cloud cover.
Sea conditions are expected to be:
- Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf
- Relatively calm in the Oman Sea
No major marine warnings have been issued at this time.
