As part of its ongoing initiatives, Sharjah continues to expand services that support women facing abuse, including legal assistance, counseling, emergency housing and rehabilitation programmes. Authorities said these measures are essential to ensuring that women can transition from crisis to stability and ultimately to empowerment.

Officials stressed that combating violence requires collective commitment. Families, schools, workplaces and community organisations all play a role in prevention, early intervention and long-term support for survivors.

The emirate’s message aligns with global efforts led by the United Nations to highlight the urgency of eliminating violence against women in all its forms.
