Pakistan has granted over 6,700 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims to attend a 10-day festival marking the spring celebration in April. For the first time in over 50 years, the quota under the 1974 bilateral protocol was raised from 3,000 to more than 6,000, allowing devotees to visit key religious sites such as Nankana Sahib, Panja Sahib and Kartarpur. Comprehensive arrangements for transport, accommodation and security have been put in place by Pakistani authorities. For more details read: [link]
