Dubai: The launch of the HONOR Magic8 Pro in Dubai marked more than the debut of a new flagship device – it introduced the UAE’s first 5.5G-ready smartphone, underscoring the country’s position at the forefront of next-generation mobile connectivity.
Unveiled at a launch event in Dubai, the Magic8 Pro is designed to deliver faster speeds, smarter AI-driven performance, and advanced imaging capabilities, aligning with the UAE’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem. HONOR executives said the device reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation in markets that actively support technological advancement.
A standout feature of the Magic8 Pro is its focus on AI-powered photography, particularly in low-light conditions. The smartphone is equipped with a 200MP AI Ultra Night Telephoto Camera, enabling users to capture sharper images and greater detail even in challenging lighting and long-distance scenarios. HONOR said the imaging system has been developed to meet the growing demand for professional-grade photography on mobile devices.
Beyond photography, the Magic8 Pro has been built to harness the capabilities of 5.5G networks, offering enhanced speed, lower latency, and improved efficiency. While 5.5G technology is still being rolled out globally, the UAE’s advanced telecommunications infrastructure makes it an ideal testing ground for next-generation connectivity, industry experts noted.

Pre-orders for the HONOR Magic8 Pro begin December 1, with pricing set at AED 3,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant and AED 4,699 for the 16GB + 1TB model.
