Global Indians of the UAE: ‘Women on the Rise’ Spotlights 24 Indian Leaders

Khaleej Times has launched Global Indians of the UAE: Women on the Rise, the first chapter in a year-long editorial series spotlighting Indian expatriate leaders shaping industries, ideas and influence from the UAE to the global stage.

The initiative focuses on a new generation of professionals and entrepreneurs working across borders – from India to the UAE and beyond – who are redefining leadership in sectors such as technology, education, healthcare, media, business and the arts. Through in-depth storytelling, the series will chronicle how these individuals are building enterprises, driving innovation and contributing to the UAE’s economic and social fabric.

The inaugural edition, Women on the Rise, profiles 24 Indian women representing a wide spectrum of industries, including finance, real estate, healthcare, entrepreneurship, creative industries and philanthropy. Their journeys reflect diverse paths to leadership – from building startups and shaping policy to influencing culture and investing in future-ready ventures.

Among those featured are jewellery designer Ashna Mehta; Dr Vandana Gandhi, CEO of British Orchard Group in the UAE and UK; Rootha Mittal, founder and CEO of LearnWithRoota.com; education policy leader Nyla Khan; Pallavi Dean, founder and CEO of Roar; and Masoom Minawala, influencer, investor and author.

The broader Global Indians of the UAE platform will unfold across the year through multimedia storytelling, interviews, and curated features highlighting changemakers who are expanding their impact beyond borders while maintaining strong ties to both India and the UAE. The series aims to document not just professional success, but the evolving identity, ambition and global outlook of Indian talent rooted in the Emirates.
