Rainfall has already been reported in parts of the UAE on February 8, bringing cooler temperatures and striking winter scenes across several regions, particularly in Ras Al Khaimah.
Showers, thunder, and fast-flowing waterfalls were seen at the foothills of Jebel Jais, as weather conditions shifted across the country. In mountainous areas, temperatures dropped to around 10°C, while coastal and city locations remained mild under partly cloudy skies.
Authorities also reported fog in some areas, prompting police to issue safety advisories for motorists. Drivers have been urged to reduce speed, follow variable speed limits, and remain alert as visibility changes quickly during early morning and late-night hours.
The changing conditions signal a classic winter weekend across the UAE, with breezy weather, misty mornings, and cooler air expected to continue. Such weather patterns are typical during this time of year and often draw residents outdoors to mountain and desert destinations.
Officials continue to advise caution on the roads and in low-lying areas while encouraging residents to stay updated through official weather alerts as conditions evolve.
