UAE President Honors National Heroes on Commemoration Day

Abu Dhabi, UAE – As the UAE observes Commemoration Day on November 30, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honoured the nation’s martyrs, praising their courage, devotion, and sacrifice in protecting the homeland.

In a solemn message marking the national occasion, Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE remembers “those who gave their lives for the UAE with courage and pride,” acknowledging the lasting impact of their service.

Honouring the Sacrifice of Martyrs and Their Families

The President expressed deep respect for the martyrs’ families, recognizing their strength and resilience. He highlighted the “immense sacrifice” made not only by the fallen but also by their loved ones, whose support and endurance remain a vital part of the nation’s unity.

“Dedication and service continue to safeguard our beloved nation,” Sheikh Mohamed said, reaffirming that the UAE’s safety and prosperity stand on the foundations laid by the country’s heroes.

An Enduring Tribute Through Progress

Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that the UAE’s ongoing development, progress, and prosperity serve as an enduring tribute to its martyrs. He prayed for them to rest in eternal peace, underscoring that their legacy remains deeply embedded in the country’s values and future vision.

Commemoration Day- also known as Martyr’s Day-is observed annually to honour Emiratis who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, reflecting the nation’s commitment to remembering and supporting its heroes and their families.
