UAE Schools to Enforce “Double Absence” Rule Ahead of Exams from Nov 10–19

Public schools across the UAE will record every unexcused absence from November 10 to 19 as two days instead of one, ahead of the first-term exams for the 2025-26 academic year. The stricter measure is part of the Ministry of Education’s drive to bolster attendance, readiness and academic performance. Students and parents are urged to prioritise attendance and ensure devices for online assessments are ready and in working order. Schools emphasise the importance of daily presence, as exam period preparations, enrichment initiatives and electronic assessment readiness ramp up.
