From 1 November 2025, delivery motorcyclists in Dubai and Sharjah will face stricter traffic controls to enhance road safety. In Dubai, delivery riders are banned from using the two fastest lanes on major roads with five or more lanes, and the left-most lane on roads with three or four lanes. In Sharjah, dedicated lanes for motorcycles, buses and heavy vehicles will be enforced along key roads with smart radars and strict penalties up to Dh1,500 for violations.
